"كان الأميرُ "غالب" مثالاً للزوج الوفيّ، الأمين القوي ،الكريم الغنيّ، وكانت زوجُهُ الأميرة "بثينة" مثالاً للزوج الفاضلة ،المحسنةِ العادلة، الوفيةِ الكاملة.
وقد عاش كلاهما في قديم الزمان عيشةً راضية، لا ينغّصُ حياتهما شيءٌ ،ولم يبقَ لهما من أمنيةٍ تُرجى في الحياةِ إلّا أن يرزقهما الله طفلاً يملأُ بيتهما نوراً ورجاءً وسعادةً وبهاء،وبهجةً وصفاء.
وسرعان ما استجاب الله دعائهما وحقّقَ لهما رجاءهما ،ولم تلبث الزوجُ أن حملت بعد أشهرٍ قليلة واستبشرَ الزوجان بذلك، حتى إذا جاء وقت الولادة ،وضعت الأميرةُ "بثينة" المولودةَ التي طالما ترقباها بفارغ الصّبر ،فحمدا لله ما وهب، وأطلقا عليها اسم "صفيّة".
بقيت الأميرة "صفية" تعيش حياة هنية لولا أن فضولها جعلها تجلب التعاسة على نفسها وأهلها، وقد مُنحت الأميرة ثلاث فرص لتتغلب على الفضول. تُرى ماذا سيكون منها؟ وهل ستجلب الشقاء لها ولأبيها وابن عمه؟ أم ستصبر وتنتصر على الجِنِّيَّةِ؟
