كتاب «أحوال نفسية... رحلة في حالات نفسية معاصرة في مصر المحروسة»، لخليل فاضل، (دار روافد)، ويحوي 15 حالة، آثر المؤلف إخفاء معلومات وتواريخ تخصها لقطع أي صلة لها بالواقع، مستعيناً في ذلك بخبرته الطويلة في مجالي الطب النفسي والأدب. وخصَّص فاضل الجزء الأخير من كتابه لحالات متنوعة عن اضطرابات الأطفال لزميلته منى جابر، أخصائية علاج الأطفال نفسياً. في الحالات الثلاث الأولى، يبرز المعنى الإنساني لتصور العفريت، والرابعة عن إدمان الفكرة، ثم عن الهلع في (مصيدة الإحساس بالموت) وعن الاضطهاد في (ذات العيون الحمراوين)، وفي «الزهرة الخشنة» يغوص المؤلف في بئر اضطراب الشخصية الحَدية، ثم يطرق أبواب حالات الاقتراب من الموت في محاولات الانتحار (تمني الموت والخوف منه... الجميلة المنتحرة)، وعن الضلالات والوسواس القهري في (رقصة التانغو الأخيرة). أما (جنون بطعم السياسة) فيضم حالات تأثَّرت سلباً بتغير الأحوال السياسية في مصر. و (رهاب العين) يشرح حال امرأة تعرضت لحوادث أثَّرت فيها، فخافت على عينيها. وفي «هوس المراهقة»، يشرح فاضل ذلك العالم الغامض لتلك الفترة الحساسة من العمر. وفي (متلازمة توريت) شرح لحال غريبة لاضطراب حركي يصيب بعض المرضى. وفي إطار شرح الحالات، يناقش خليل فاضل منهجية الفهم والوصف، التفسير والتوضيح والمواجهة كتقنيات للعلاج العميق المرتكز على التحليل النفسي.
