وهنا تكمن مشكلة التربية: فالأمور التي قد تبدو مهمة بالنسبة إليك قد لا تبدو كذلك بالنسبة إليه، وقد ترغب منه في أن يرتدي ملابسه حتى تتمكن من اصطحابه إلى رياض الأطفال، وتذهب أنت إلى عملك في الوقت المحدد، لكنه قد يرغب في الاستمرار في اللعب بألعابه، فهو ليس لديه أي إحساس بالوقت على الإطلاق، ومهمتك تتكون من شقين: أولًا، تحديد إن كان بإمكان طفلك ارتداء ملابسه بمفرده، ثم تعطيه سببًا يحثه على القيام بذلك.
