أخرجت قلبي، وطويته خمس طيات، ثم قدمته إليها، تناولته مني، أطبقت عليه، لم تفتح الورقة المستسلمة لقدرها لتقرأ ما فيها، فقط نظرت إليها باستهانة كأنها لا شيء، ثم ألقت بها إلى السيارات المسرعة.
آخر الليل عدت بصدر فارغ، كلما نقرت عليه أصدر أصوات فقد وحنين، وبكاء يأتي من عالم بعيد، كنت أسمع صوت رياح تعبر صدري، فأشعر بالبرد والوحشة والخوف.
كلما مرت السيارات فوق الورقة التائهة التي ضلت طريق عودتها، كانت الحروف تتطاير منها بين العجلات، حتى تجمعت على جانب الطريق تتألم، تبعتها في طريقها إلى بيتها، صعدت وراءها الدرج، حاصرتها، كانت كلما وضعت رأسها فوق وسادتها كل مساء تلتف الكلمات حولها، فتشعر بدوار يحرمها النوم، لم تفد العقاقير التي أوصى بها الأطباء، فظلت لسنوات مؤرقة في شباك مفتوح على مدينة غائمة.
