يتضمن هذا الكتاب الفريد، الذى خرج على يد العلامة الراحلة الأستاذة الدكتورة ملكة علي التركي، مدخلا إلى الأدب الصوفي الفارسي مع دراسة للمنظومة الصوفية "إلهي نامة" للقطب الصوفي الشاعر فريد الدين العطار، قبل أن يقدم لنا الترجمة الكاملة للمنظومة التي تعد نموذجًا أصيلًا للأدب الصوفي الفارسي القصصى. تبدأ منظومة الهي نامة بحديث يوجهه فريد الدين العطار الى روح الانسان الكامل ويرى العطار ان هذه الروح هي نائبة دار الخلافة وصاحبة الامر الرباني والعالم كله منوط بها ومع ذلك يصعب ادراك كنهها " انك لست فى السماء ولا في الارض فأين انت ؟ انك عند رب العالمين " وبعد ان ينتهي العطار من حديثه الى الروح تأخذ الروح في رقيها الى الله عز وجل وذلك في صورة قصة رمزية تتمثل في احد الخلفاء وله ستة ابناء وهم يقابلون الروح بمراتبها الست وتبدأ المنظومة بأن يجمع الاب اولاده الست ويطلب اليهم ان يفضوا اليه بمكنون قلبوهم وما يجيش في صدورهم من رغبات وامان ليحققها لهم على الفور.
