ظللت لفترة في عدم توازن فلم استطع الافاقة من صدمة فقدانك .. وفي يوم من الايام كنت جالسا كالعادة في مكتبي .. واثناء مطالعتي كتابا من كتبي انتابني بعض الشرود .. تذكرت جملة قيلت لي منذ سنين عديدة في ارض بعيدة عن ارضنا .. تذكرت اجتماعي بالسيد .. ديمتريف .. في ذلك القبو المهجور ذي الاضاءة الخافتة ترددت كلماته في اركان عقلي وكأنني اسمعها الان .. ذلك السر سوف يغير من حياتك الى الابد وانت الوحيد الذي اراه جديرا بأن يعلمه معي وان تحمل الراية من بعدي اذا توفيت .. فهل سنثبت لي جدارتك بالفعل .. امتدت يدي لا شعوريا الى درج مكتبي الذي تراكم عليه التراب لسنوات اولجت المفتاح في قفله وادرته لأجد امامي الاوراق الاولى لبحث السيد .. ديمتريف .. ترددت كلماته في ذهني لتتكون بدايات فكرة جنونية في اعماق عقلي فكرة لم اعلم انها ستغير حياتي الى الابد بالفعل .. سوف اكمل تلك التجربة .. سأصنع بنفسي الة الزمن ..
