تقديم بقلم الحبيب العلامة الداعي إلى الله عمر ابن محمد بن سالم بن حفيظ بن الشيخ أبي بكر ابن سالم: الحمد لله الموفق الهادي المعين، وصلى الله وسلم على نوره الأكبر المبين، وعلى آله الهداة الطاهرين وأصحابه الدعاة الأكرمين وتابعيهم بإحسان إلى يوم الدين. أما بعد فإن مما أبدت الحكمة الأزلية، بمظاهر الإرادة الإلهية، في واقع الشؤون الخلقية، إحياء التعلقات القلبية، في هذه الفترة في كثير من شباب الأمة المحمدية، فحييت مشاعر عظّمت الشعائر، مع رغبة صادقة في اقتفاء المنهج النبوي والمسلك السوي، فالتفتوا إلى مهمة في الدين عظيمة، كلما ضعف قيام الأمة بها، حصل تنكّبٌ في دربها، وتمزق في شملها، وتسلط من أعدائها، وشدة في أحوالها، ألا وهي مهمة الدعوة إلى الله عز وجل للأفراد والجماعات، وتحتاج تلك المهمة إلى تبصّرٍ وإدراك وحكمة ونظر، وذلك هو الذي دعا هذا الشاب المقبل بقلب المتوجه بصدق، المرعي من الله بعناية السيد المبارك محمد بن عبدالرحمن ابن علوي السقاف صانه الله وحماه، وأعانه ورعاه، ورفع قدره ورقّاه، ونقّاه وانتقاه في خير وعافية، إلى كتابة هذه الملاحظات والتنبيهات المهمات الطيبات المباركات، في شأن الدعوة الفردية، معينا إخوانه مؤديا حق الأمانة، فبارك الله في كتابه (الطوالع السعدية في بيان مهام الدعوة الفردية) وأعظم به النفع وعمَّ بنفعه المتوجهين إلى هذا السبيل من المؤمنين في مختلف الجهات، وأجزل له عليه المثوبات.
