بدأ ت فكرة هذا الكتاب بعد اجتيازي لاختبار الايلتس ومن أول تجربة بعدما قررت أن أمضي قدماً في تثقيف نفسي عن ذلك الذي يدعى شبح الايلتس وبعد مرور ثلاث أشهر من العمل الجاد حصلت على الدرجة المطلوبة وواجهتني رغبات حثيثة من صديقات لي لإدراج كل ما مررت به خلال هذه الرحلة ليستأنسوا به فقررت كتابة ملف شامل عن هاجس الايلتس في منتدى مبتعث. لم أتوقع تلك الأصداء القوية التي حصدها ملفي حيث تلقيت سيل من الرسائل بكافة وسائل الاتصال المتاحة وتلقيت عبر بريدي الإلكتروني طلبات ودعوات وقصص نجاح مؤثرة. حمدت المولى أن وفقني لأكون قدمت شيء بعد توفيقه سبحانه ذا جرعة معنوية محفزة للطلاب ومن هنا جاءت فكرة هذا المؤلف ليكون مرجع مبسط وسريع لكل من يود تغير اعتقاداته وتكوين قناعات جديدة بشأن تعليم اللغة واجتياز الايلتس بدون معلم مع ندرة المعلومات المتكاملة عن هذا الاختبار باللغة العربية مما يضع الطلاب في حيرة من أمرهم خصوصا ممن هم في بداية طريقهم نحو تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية وإتقانها. وقد أثارني أن أجد باللغات الأخرى معلومات مثرية بينما تفتقد اللغة العربية لمثلها.
