لابد أن تدون كل ما يمر بك فى ذاكرتك لكى لا تتكرر المأساة, ولأننا قوم نتميز بقوة ذاكرة مميزة كفيلة بأننا لانستطيع استعادة أى شئ عند الحاجة إليها ولكنها قد تلاحقك إذا أردت الخلاص منها. جاءتنى فكرة الكتاب عندما قابلت شخصا فى الصيدلية صديقا دائما للبروزولين وهى قطرة تستخدم لإزالة الحساسية والاحمرار وحكة العين, عامة صديقنا هذا الذى دخل الصيدلية كان يعانى من حساسية بالعين لم يكن مدمنا، كان محترما, انفتح قلبى لي, فأخذ يحكى عن مواقفه الفاشلة فى الحياة, وأنه دائم الفشل، لم أرد أن أحبطه وأخبره أن الغباء الذى يتمتع به هو السبب الرئيسى وراء فشله التام, وهنا خطرت فى بالى فكرة تدوين المواقف ولكن بأسلوب ساخر.
