يحاول المؤلف فتح آفاق على هؤلاء الأدباء الذين كانت لهم اليد الطولى في بناء الخليج العربي الثقافي وذلك من خلال تناوله حياة الدكتورة سعاد الصباح حيث فشلت مسيرتها الأدبية مسيرة الأدب النسائي في الخليج عامة، وبمسيرة الإبداع والعطاء التي كانت هي روحها وأصلها واشتقاقها. فيتحدث المؤلف عن حياتها، دواوينها ومن ثم يحكي عن أدبها في نظر النقاد وينتقل إلى خيط الحزن والرثاء في شعرها، ويتحدث عن الجوانب الوطنية والاجتماعية اللتان مثلت حيزاً كبيراً في أعمالها الشعرية. فكانت الإنسانة ذات الحسن الوطني الصادق والقوي وكانت المحصلة الاجتماعية. سطرات سعاد في كليهما أعذب الشعر فكان أصدقه.
