فلم يعد أقطاب الفكر الفلسفي العربـي المعاصر وكلاء على مذاهب فلسفية بعينها، وتيارات تابعة للفكر الغربـي، من قبيل الوضعية، والشخصانية، والوجودية، والماركسية... الخ، أي أنهم لم يعد هاجسهم هو إعادة إنتاج فلسفة هذا التيار أو ذلك بشكل تام. وإنما أصبحوا يقدمون أنفسهم على أنهم أصحاب مشاريع فكرية فلسفية وسياسية وحضارية، يحضر فيها تاريخ الفكر الغربـي كمفاهيم ومقولات، وهي مشاريع من شأنها أن تخلص الفكر العربـي من كبوته، وأن تنقد المجتمعات العربية من تخلفها الحضاري، وتحقق مشاريع النهضة والحداثة.
