تتميز مرحلة الشباب بالحيوية و النشاط و الفاعلية، فالشباب بما يتمتعون به من صحة وعافية وحماس يمتلكون القدرة على العطاء و العمل و الإبداع.
وٍ شريحة الشباب من اهم الشرائح العُمرية تأثراً وتأثيراً في البنية الاجتماعية، فالشباب عندما يكونون مبدعين وفاعلن يستطيعون إحداث تغيير نوعي في مختلف الابعاد، وعلى شتى المستويات. اما عندما يكونون غير فاعلين او غافلين عن القيام بمسؤولياتهم وواجباتهم فإنهم يفقدون القدرة على ممارسة اي تغيير إيجابي او عمل ابداعي.
ومن المهم للغاية توظيف طاقات الشباب و استثمارها فيما يعود عليهم بالنفع و الفائدة، وفيما يخدم المجتمع والأمة؛ إذ ان جيل الشباب يشكل ثروة مهمة في اي مجتمع، ومن الواجب ان لا تبقى هذه الثروة الذهبية دون استثمار حقيقي.
ثم إن استثمار طاقات الشباب يجب ان يكون وفق خطة علمية ومنهجية ومتوازنة وذات اهداف واضحة بحيث تؤدي إلى إحداث قفزة نوعية في حياة الشباب، وفي مسيرة الجتمع، وفي نهضة الأمة.
كما يجب الاهتمام بقضايا الشباب، و العمل على حل مشكلاتهم، و التواصل معهم بانفتاح كي يمكن مساعدتهم في تجاور العقبات و التحديات التي تعترض طموحات وتطلعات جيل الشباب.
ومن الواجب العمل على استقطاب الشباب نحو التدين، وانماء المثل و القيم الاخلاقية في شخصياتهم؛ إذ يواجه شباب اليوم حملات موجهة ومنظمة من قبل الإعلام الفاسد، وشبكات الفساد و الإفساد، ومافيا المسكرات و المخدرات.. وكلها تهدف إلى إفساد الشباب المسلم، وذلك من اجل القضاء على القيم الاخلاقية و الدينية عند جيل الشباب. ومن واجب العلماء و المربين و المصلحين زيادة الاهتمام بالشباب، و الاقتراب منهم اكثر، و التفاعل معهم كي يمكن التأثير فيهم بصورة إيجابية.
