لا يختلف اثنان في أنّ النقد العربـي المعاصر يعيش عدة أزمات، سواء على الصعيد المصطلحي أو على الصعيد المفهومي والمعرفي، أو في فهم الخلفيات الفلسفية، التي قامت عليها الاتجاهات النقدية الغربية من أجل تمثّلها واستثمارها في نظرية نقدية عربية تؤسس لمقاربة النصوص والخطابات العربية الإبداعية، ولما لا النقدية كذلك.
في واقع الأمر، لم يقف النقاد العرب مكتوفي الأيدي إزاء هذه المشاكل التي يعيشها الفكر والنقد العربـي المعاصر، على حد السواء، فقد حاولوا تأسيس العديد من المشاريع النقدية، فمنها من نال رواجا، ومنها من لم يخرج عن نطاقه الضيق. فمن المشاريع النقدية الرائجة، إلى حد معين نذكر على سبيل المثال: محمد مفتاح وسعيد بنغراد وعبد المالك مرتاض ومحمد عابد الجابري في المغرب، وكل جابر عصفور وكمال أبو ديب وعبد العزيز حمودة في المشرق؛ هذا الأخير الذي سيكون مدار بحثنا وتركيزنا في خطابه النقدي ونقده للنقد على السواء.
إن جميع هذه المشاريع النقدية الكبرى يلزمها ما يسمى بنقد النقد، لكي تؤسس لذاتها تأسيسا قويا وخاليا من التناقضات والهفوات، التي تُنقص من قيمتها وقوة تناسقها وانسجامها الداخلي على مستوى التصورات والمفاهيم الإجرائية. فقد أنتجت الخطابات النقدية المذكورة، وغيرها خطابات نقدية موازية لها، أو أعلى درجة منها، فكانت بمثابة ميتانقد لها (لغة ثانية)، إذ أصبح النقد في ذاته مدونة يشتغل عليها نقد النقد من أجل الكشف عن خصائصه ومميزاته، وبلورتها في نطاق مضبوط من أجل ممارسة سليمة ومعرفة دقيقة به، ولهذا كان هدف نقد النقد الأساس هو تطوير عملية النقد التي تُعد، بدورها، الأساس في تطوّر التجربة الإبداعية، وبالخصوص الأدبية إذ لا أدب ولا فكر ولا فلسفة بدون وجود نقد سليم، مؤسس على معايير وثوابت وإواليات سليمة وهذه الأخيرة لا توجد، بدورها، دون أن يكون هناك متابعة للعملية والتجربة النقدية، وفق منهج مضبوط صارم - نحاول الكشف عنه والتأسيس له من خلال مدونتنا- لا وفق الاكتفاء بعملية الوصف والتحليل السطحي الفاقد للبدائل المنهجية والنقدية.
