ميزة هذا الكتاب أنه يتيح للقارئ متعة استكشاف مفهوم الأنوثة في فكر ابن عربي وأسراره البلاغية والرمزية. فخطاب الشيخ الأكبر يعكس، في عمقه وشموليته، خطاب الأنوثة. وهي قضية يشهد عليها النص الأكبري في اتساعه وتشبعه، ويؤيدها إصرار الشيخ الأكبر على إدراج الحديث عن الأنوثة في سياق مركزي، ضمن ديباجة مؤلفه الفتوحات المكية وضمن مؤلفات عديدة أخرى. ويبدو أ، ارتكاز فكر ابن عربي على الأنوثة ساهم، مع عوامل أخرى، في فتح آفاق لإعادة تأسيس المفاهيم والمبادئ والتصورات على أساس نظرة متميزة للأنوثة.
هذا ما دفع بالمؤلفة إلى خوض هذه المغامرة، خاصة أن مفهوم الأنوثة لم يلق الاهتمام المناسب لموقعه في فكر ابن عربي. ويبدو أن طريقة التكتم المعرفي تتعمق أكثر متى تعلق الأمر بالأنوثة والمرأة وسط بنية اجتماعية ومعرفية تحكمها السلطة الذكورية.
