هذه المقالات كتبت بين 1994 وشباط (فبراير) 2007، ونشر معظمها، بعد ترجمته عن الإنكليزية، في ملحق "تيارات" بجريدة "الحياة"، كما نشر بعضها في جريدة "السفير" وملحق "نوافذ" بجريدة "المستقبل"، وفي موقع "الأوان" الإليكتروني. وهي، هنا، تنشر تبعاً لتعاقبها الزمني.
فيها ترصد مي غصوب تحولات أزمنتها وتحولاتها في أزمنتها، ألواناً وأصواتها وكتباً وموسيقى وكثيراً من اللعب مع العالم والتحايل عليه.
فهي صفحات تتشكل منها بعض ذاكرة العيش في المدن، والتنقل بينها، وما يستجد على أنماط عيشها وسياستها، أدبها ولهوها، استهلاكها وإنتاجها. وبهذا تؤلف تلك الصفحات شهادة حب للحياة لم تيسن لمي أن تكمل تأديتها.
لمن تكتب؟
كان السؤال سابقاً: لماذا تكتب؟ أو: ما الذي يدفع الكاتب إلى رواية قصته؟ وقد سبق لشهرزاد أن أعطت جواباً لا يدحض: إنني أسرد من أجل البقاء على قيد الحياة، فإذا توقفت عن السرد مت.
لكن أكثر ما يصدم هو ذك الزي الجديد في طرح السؤال: "لمن تكتب؟". فباستثناء المراهقين ممن يكتبون لأنفسهم إذا يعانون أزمة عاطفية، أصبح الانهيار العصبي في زمننا احتمالاً وارداً لدى كل من يجبر على خنق كلماته في صدره بينما هي تكاد تتفجر منه.
