حازت بعض أعمالها الروائية والإذاعية والصحافية جوائز عديدة.
كلّفتها منظّمة حقوق الإنسان بكتابة عمل إبداعي عن الاتفاقية الدولية لمناهضة التعذيب ضدّ المرأة وصدرت الرواية عن دار عرباي التابعة للمنظّمة عام 1999 بعنوان دفتر عائدة.
ترجمت بعض قصصها إلى الإنكليزية والفرنسية والألمانية.

عراقية مسلمة تقرر الزواج من ماروني لبناني في لندن حيث يقيمان ويعملان. في ختام اليوم الذي اتخذت السيدة هديل سالم علي القرار، رحلت إلى دبي وارتدت الحجاب.
ما الأسباب التي جعلت ذلك اليوم يختتم بتلك النهاية الدراماتيكية؟ وما الدوافع الكامنة وراء ذاك الهروب؟ وما دور مؤنس ابن هديل (20 عاماً)، ودور سارة، ابنة يوسف (19 عاماً) في تلك العلاقة المتذبذبة على صعد عدة؟
أسئلة تجيب عنها، وعن سواها، هذه الرواية التي تتوغل في باطن علاقة جيلين من دينين مختلفين في زمن تهز موجة الفرز الطائفي، وأحياناً المذهبي، صخرة المجتمع، وتكاد تقتلعها.
