من أبرز المؤلفات التي كتبها الإمام الكردي، فقد أودع فيه من نفائس التحقيقات وعيون النقول ما لا مثيل له، ولا غنى عنه. وبرغم أن المؤلف قد وضع كتابه هذا في مسألة فقهية هي مسألة التجرد قبل الميقات بلا إحرام؛ ليُبيّن المعتمد عند السادة الشافعية فيها، إلا أنه أثرى كتابه بالكثير من الكلام على مسائل مهمة تتعلق بالاجتهاد والتقليد والاستدلال، وما تبع ذلك من مسائل فرعية كثيرة تتعلق بهما، مع مراعاته الكلام على تلك المسائل بكلام متين غاية في التحقيق، وعنايته بإيراد نقول كثيرة عن علماء المذهب وغيرهم من المتقدمين والمتأخرين؛ بما يأتي على جوانب الموضوع بصفة شمولية. وقد عرف أهل العلم ما لهذا الكتاب من ثراء ودقّة؛ حتى قال بعض من ترجم للمصنف في حقّ كتابه هذا: إنه ينبغي ألا يخلو منه طالبُ علم.
