هذا الكتاب.. يمكن أن يعتبر إلى حد بعيد، محاولة لطرح الموضوع واستدعائه إلى ساحة الاهتمام، حسبها أنها لفتت النظر إلى قضية على غاية من الأهمية والخطورة، وهي لغة الإعلام، أو العربية في وسائل الإعلام وسبل الارتقاء بها.. ذلك أن الإشكالية الكبيرة، ليست باحتلال العامية الكثير من وسائل الإعلام، أو اللحن بالعربية وإشاعته في ألسنة وعقول المتلقين فقط، وإنما الإشكالية أيضا هي في اختيار المفردات اللغوية، والأسلوب المناسب، لأنواع الأوعية الإعلامية، من مكتوبة ومسموعة ومرئية، ولفنون التعبير، من خبر وتقرير واستطلاع ومقابلة وحوار وتعليق... إلخ، وطبيعة المضامين الإعلامية، حيث يمتد الإعلام اليوم ليغطى جميع جوانب الحياة والمساحات الإنسانية .. فهناك الإعلام السياسي، والثقافي، والاقتصادي، والأدبي، والعلمي... الخ، ولكل خصائصه ومتطلباته. واللغة العربية، بما تمتلك من الإمكان والتنوع، والمترادفات، مؤهلة لتغطية هذه المساحات جميعا .. ولو كنا في مستوى لغتنا وعصرنا، لاكتشفنا آفاقا للامتداد بثقافتنا وعقيدتنا ورؤيتنا الحضارية.. فالإشكالية ليست في استعمال العامية وفشو اللحن فقط، وإنما الإشكالية ذات أبعاد أخرى، لا بد أن تتوفر عليها مجموعة اختصاصات معرفية للنظر فيها، وتطوير الأدوات لتتوازى مع تطور الإعلام، وبذلك يكون الإعلامي معلما ومعّلما في الوقت نفسه.
