Snyder المؤرخ المتخصص فيها. فالدكتور سنيدر الذي شغل منصب أستاذ مادة التاريخ بكلية سيتي كوليدج في نيويورك يعد من أصدق الكتاب الذين تناولوا حياة ذلك الداهية منذ ميلاده حتى انتحاره، وأيضا أجواء وأحداث الحرب .. لقد كان الدكتور سنيدر وقتها طالبا يدرس في جامعة فرانكفورت بمدينة ''مين'' الألمانية عام 1928 وواصل الدراسة على منحة مؤسسة إليكساندر فون همبولت شتيفتونج سنة 1929 – 1930، فرأى اجتماعات النازي رأي العين وعاش وسط الأحداث التي سجلها موثقة في كتابه المعنون ''الهتلرية: القبضة الحديدية في ألمانيا Hitlerism : The Iron Fist in Germany. وفي هذا العمل ينقل الدكتور "سنيدر" قصة حياة الزعيم النازي والنازية كاملة للقارئ الأمريكي العادي، وذلك على نحو موجز شديد الصدق والأمانة.
