تجيب هذه الدراسة على الكثير من الأسئلة الهامة حول مفهوم نظرية الادب وتتجاوز المرضي التقليدي من جهة والطابع الهستيري من جهة أخرى في فهم الأدب وفيها يخرج الكاتب من إطار الترجمة والبحث التاريخي إلى إطار التنظير الإبداعي. وتنبع قيمة هذه الدراسة من كونها جاءت في الوقت الذي يغرق فيه النقد الأدبي العربي بسيل من التيارات الوافدة أو التقليدية دون أن يكون بإمكانه تحديد خصائص نظرية واضحة لمفهوم الأدب.
