كتاب قصر على النيل تأليف ثروت أباظة تناول الكاتب الكتاب بالعديد من المفاهيم التى قد تقلب حياة الفرد رأسا على عقب وتغير مستقبله ونظرته فى الحياة. تناولت قضية الحب الاول وكيف بادر وصفى بالتخلى عنها لأنها أحبته ظنا منه إنه بذلك يقيم حياة مستقرة مع امرأة بريئة فى نظره أنها لم تبادله حبا قبل الزواج. وأسرعت هى أيضأ لتلقى بنفسها إلى حياة كانت بالنسبة لها الجحيم وبالطبع كلاهما كان مخطئ فكرة الحب قبل الزواج يطول الحديث فيها ولكنى أرى ان وصفى حكم على الموقف كما كان سيحكم كثير من الرجال فى رأيي المرأه هى المسؤلة عن العلاقة تعرف متى تبدأ وإلى أين تنتهى.تناولت ايضا النتيجة المتوقعة لطمع الزوج فى أموال زوجته على أبنائهم وصراع المبادئ والأفكار والتى كانت محور الأحداث.وتناول بالتفصيل لفكرة المال بأن عمر المال ما كان الضامن الوحيد للسعادة والسعادة الأسرية على وجه التحديد لكن اللى بيوفرها الإخلاص والإحترام والتفاهم بين الأبوين لأن دا كمان بينعكس على أولادهم وكمان من المميز فيها مناقشتها لموضوع التوجهات السياسية اللى بيتوجه لها الشباب وحالة الضياع والتوهه اللى بيعانى منها كتير من الشباب الرواية فى المجمل مفيدة وعلى الرغم من انى خلصتها فى جلستين الا انها مأمتعتنيش بالقدر الكافى بس خرجت منها بدروس مفيدة ودا الأهم .
