سأقص لك قصة محزنة عن رجل يعمل كالعبيد ، يكدح ويجهد نفسة بجمع ثروة طمعا بالما ولم يكن يكتفي ، إلى أن تمكن من تحقيق مناله ما جعله منتشيا من السعادة ، إلى أن فتك ببلدته وباء جعله وحيدا بائسا ، إذ فقد أحباءه يغد أسبوع من انتشار هذا الوباء ، انقضت قيمة المال في نظرة بعد هذة الحادثة الاليمة التي مر بها ، ما جعله يدرك أن سعادته لم تكن جراء المال نفسه بل من الرضا الروحي الذي حصل عليه عند رؤيته الفرح الذي نعمت به عائلته لتوفر الملذات والاشياء المبهجة بسبب البذل والوفرة .
العبرة من ذلك أن المال ليست له قيمة مادية ، فإن استعبدت قيمته الروحية أصبح أشبه بالقمامة ، وهذا ينطبق على كل الاشياء المادية دون استثناءات مهما كبرت ام صغرت ، عظيمة كانت أم زهيدة ، فالتيجان والصولجانات والبنسات والمجوهرات الزائفة والشهرة في نطاق القرية والشهرة العالمية ، جميعها بلا قيمة مادية على حد السواء متى حققت لك الرضا الروحي فهي قيمة في نظرك . ومتى فشلت في تحقيق هذا الارضاء فقدت قيمتها .
