في حيٍّ مهجور تحاصره الحرب ويأكله النسيان، يتجوّل رجل يُدعى «المجنون» كأنه آخر الشهود على عالمٍ يتداعى.
حيّ كلابة ليس مكانًا فقط، بل ذاكرة حيّة، كائنٌ يتنفّس الخراب، ويتداخل مع روح ساكنه الوحيد حتى تذوب الحدود بين الإنسان والمكان.
بين الجنون والصحو، بين الهلاوس والرؤى، تتكشّف حكاية فقدٍ طويل: الجدة، النخلة، الحي، والهوية.
يخاطب المجنون القطط، يحاور القناص، يرى القتلى وهم يمشون، ويتلقى رسائل من امرأة غائبة/حاضرة اسمها فاطمة، تتحوّل من حبٍّ أرضي إلى خلاصٍ صوفي.
الرواية رحلة في التيه الإنساني زمن الحرب، تأمّل في معنى الجنون بوصفه حكمةً مكسورة، وفي الوعي حين يصير عبئًا، وفي المكان حين يصبح مرآة للروح.
مجنون كلابة ليست حكاية عن الحرب فقط، بل عن الإنسان حين يفقد كل شيء… إلا قدرته على الحلم.
