ينطلق هذا الكتاب من إشكالية مركزية مفادها أن معالجة التحديات المركبة التي تواجه الأمة الإسلامية لا يمكن أن تتم بمنهجيات تقليدية أو حلول جزئية، بل تتطلب رؤية تكاملية تستوعب الإنسان في كليته، وتُعيد الاعتبار للترابط العميق بين الفكر والرزق، بين الوعي والسلوك، وبين المقاصد الشرعية والواقع المعاش. فالعقل المسلم المعاصر بحاجة إلى إعادة تشكيل معرفي يُفعّل العلاقة العضوية بين القيم الروحية والوظائف الاجتماعية، ويُعيد وصل ما انقطع بين الوحي والواقع، بين الأخلاق والاقتصاد، وبين الأمن الداخلي والنهضة الحضارية.
