يبسَط الحديث في كل رسالة عن ذاكرةٍ مكانيةٍ معينة في العراق على امتداد تاريخه، ربما كان المكان مدينةً مندثرةً أو قصراً أو مسجداً أو كنيسةً أو قبراً لإحدى الشخصيات العراقية أو غير ذلك، وكل رسالةٍ مختومةٌ بصورٍ التقطتها بنفسي.
مرةً مع نبوخذنصر متقدماً بموكبه في العيد البابلي
وأخرى مع البحتري مسترجعاً ماضيه في إيوان كسرى.
ومع المستعصم مترقباً مصيره أمام قائد المغول
ومع جلجامش جاثياً على ضفة الفرات يبكي صديقه
ومع الجواهري متأملاً في حديقة منزله يدبج قصيدة
ومع الحلاج متجولاً في أزقة بغداد يردد أقواله الصوفية
في رحلةٍ ممتعةٍ غنيةٍ بالمشاهدات والذكريات والأفراح والأتراح.
