عبدالرحمان المكاوي من مواليد المملكة المغربية وسط البلاد ( ولاية مراكش ) سنة 1974 للميلاد ، حاصل على شهادة الماجستير في اللغة العربية وآدابها ، تخصص أدب مغربي أندلسي ، أعمل لحد كتابة هذه السطور موظفا بقطاع التربية الوطنية ببلدي المغرب تخصص إدارة مدرسية من مؤلفاتي " مسك الليل " وهي رواية طبعت بالمغرب سنة 2005 للميلاد ، ثم بحث مخطوط بعنوان " المصطلح النحوي في كتاب الرد على النحاة ودوره في نقد نظرية العامل في النحو العربي " .

رواية مسك الليل رواية تجريبية تجري أحداثها في فضاء الصحراء العربي، تحكي قصة فتاة صغيرة يختطف الموت والديها بغتة ... فتضطر للهجرة إلى المدينة ... حيث تعاني ظروفا اجتماعية صعبة تحول دون اندماجها الآمن في البداية ... لكن تشاء الأقدار أن تجد نفسها بمأوى خيري حيث تتعلم ... ثم تكمل دراستها الجامعية لتلتقي من جديد بشقيقها الوحيد ...
