اعتمد الكتاب مؤلّفات واحد من مدّعي مشيخة التّربية الصّوفيّة في تونس مدوّنة يختبر بوضعها على بساط التّحليل فرضيّة خلاصتها أنّ لظاهرة التّديّن الاحتجاجيّ أثرا في الخطاب الصّوفيّ، وهو حسن العكريمي الّذي أحوج السّعي لرفع الغطاء عن تجلّيات نزعته الاحتجاجيّة إلى أن يُؤخَذ مجموع منجَزاته المكتوبة على محمل الخطاب بضرب من المقاربة السّياقيّة تستوعب مختلف أبعاده الميتالغويّة المنعكسة في أنسجته اللّغويّة، فلم يتناوله الكتاب بمعزل عن أطر إنتاجه الثّقافيّة وحيثيّاته الظّرفيّة، ولا غضّ النّظر في ذلك عن أحوال منتجه ورهاناته، بل وضعها كلّها في الحسبان عسى أن تسفر الجهود التّحليليّة عمّا يجعل الفرضيّة الّتي انطلق منها معطى يمكن البناء عليه.
