- في هذه الأثناء بذلت الجهود لاستخراج الترخيص ببناء الكنيسة بالدور العلوي.. وتم ذلك يوم السبت 17 يناير 1987 (الموافق 8 طوبة 1704ش.)، بمباركة قداسة البابا شنوده الثالث الذي قام بتدشين الكنيسة.
