«لقد عجز الترهل الحالى فى أمور إدارة كنيستنا المصرية عن الدفاع عن أساسيات دوريها الروحى والإدارى، أو الوقوف بحزم أمام الاتجاهات الخاطئة داخل الكنيسة، وساد أسلوب تغطية البعض أخطاء وتجاوزات وافتراءات البعض، بخاصة فى مستوى القادة الروحيين المنوط بهم أصلًا الحفاظ على الأساسيات، وانتشر التسيب فأفسد الانضباط الروحى، ما دامت بعض الإنجازات الشكلية والمنقوصة والمعيبة تتم.. وغالبًا ما انتهكت مبادئ المسيح وروح كلمة الله بين أعضاء مجالس الكنائس وخدام التربية الكنسية والشعب، لا سيما مع انهيار القدوة الروحية فى مستوى الإكليروس، وأصبح العديد من أعضاء المجالس الكنسية والإكليروس وأفراد الشعب فى المواقع القيادية فوق الرقابة والنقد، ما أدى إلى تراجع روحى ملحوظ، وإلى فشل بقدر ما فى العمل الكنسى، وظهر فى مستويات الإكليروس والمجالس الكنسية والخدام والشعب عدم احترام القيم الإنجيلية، وتشجيع الكلام المضلل والشللية، والخنوع والتمجيد للنماذج الضعيفة روحيًا وإداريًا..».
