Abdulkadir Mustapha Lawan: Biography
Early Life and Education:
Abdulkadir Mustapha Lawan was born on April 1, 1995, in Jalingo Ashaka, Funakaye LGA, Gombe State. His early education in Arabic began at home, under the tutelage of his mother, Malama Aishatu Jibril Argumma, who taught him the Arabic alphabet and how to recite the Qur'an. He completed his Qur'anic recitation with his father, Sheikh Mustapha Lawal Ashaka, and memorized the Qur'an under the guidance of the late Goni Shuaibu Musa.

Islamic Education

Abdulkadir's Islamic education was extensive. He studied Qur'anic translation to Hausa from his father. His foundational knowledge of Nahawu (Arabic grammar) and Fiqhu (Islamic jurisprudence) was also imparted by his father and other scholars such as Malam Abubakar and Khalifa Abdullahi Mashema.

Formal Education

Abdulkadir attended Islamiyya Nursery School Ashaka (1998-2001) and Dayayi Model Primary School (2001-2006). He completed his secondary education at the School of Remedial and Continuing Education (SORCE) A.D. Rufa'i College for Legal and Islamic Studies Misau in 2012. He then pursued higher education at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Arabic Studies in 2016. Following his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Okene, Kogi State, he advanced his studies at Bayero University Kano, obtaining a Master's of Arts in Arabic Language with a specialization in Arabic Semantics in 2022. He is currently pursuing a PhD in the same field at the same university.
