تروي هذه القصة يوميات فتاة وأخيها شدّا الرحال إلى بيت الله في ظروف قاسية، إذ كان بلدهما يعيش أجواء الحرب. وجدت الفتاة في تلك الرحلة ملاذها النفسي والراحة لقلبها الحزين، ولم تنسَ أن تصطحب معها دفتر مذكراتها لتدوّن فيه تفاصيل أيامها وهي تؤدي مناسك العمرة. وكانت هذه القصة أولى محاولات الكاتبة في عالم الكتابة، فاختارت أن تطبع ما سطرته من يوميات بأسلوب بسيط وعذب، صادق الشعور وقريب من القلب.
