كان الأحفاد يجتمعون كل يوم جمعة في ساحة بيت الجد حسن ، حيث يجلس على كرسيه الخشبي الهزّاز، ويبدأ حديثه بالحكايات الشيقة و الممتعة .كان الجد حسن رجلًا طيبًا، شعره أبيض، وابتسامته لا تفارق وجهه أبدًا. كان يملك دفترًا قديمًا كبيرًا، يكتب فيه كل يوم حكاية صغيرة حدثت له، أو سمعها من جده في الماضي. كانت كل حكاية يرويها تتحول إلى مغامرة حقيقية يعيشها الأطفال بخيالهم. عندما يأتي الأحفاد إلى بيت الجد، يجدونه جالسًا على كرسيه الهزّاز، وفى يده كوب من الشاي يجتمع الأطفال حوله، ويشكّلون دائرة كبيرة ويبتسم لهم الجد حسن
