رواية «وجوه ناقصة» للكاتبة رانية مرجية هي عمل أدبي رمزي يدور حول الهوية والحرية ومعنى النقص في عالم افتراضي تتحكم فيه السلطة حتى في ملامح البشر.
الفكرة العامة
تتخيل الرواية مدينة تفرض على سكانها وجوهًا جديدة موحدة وفق «تعليمات الوجه» الصادرة من المجلس الحاكم. يُمحى الاختلاف ويُعتبر الخروج عن القياس خطرًا على النظام. وحدهم الذين ترفض أجسادهم الأقنعة يُسمّون «الناقصين» ويعيشون على الهامش. من خلالهم، تُطرح أسئلة وجودية:
ماذا يعني أن نكون ناقصين؟
وهل النقص عيب أم طريق لاكتشاف الذات الحقيقية؟
