أخذ يُقَلِّب الدِّماءَ مع رَمَادِ الورقة ثم سَكَبَها على يده اليمنى وطلب من (زياد) أن يمد له كفَّهُ اليمنى وأطبق عليها بكَفِّه المملوءة بالدماء وأخذ الخليط يتساقط من كفَيْهِما وقال: ردد معي ما أقول، بسم الله الملك، قاهرِ الجبابرة، ومالكِ الدنيا والآخرة، أقسم عليك يا فَردَقْدُوس يا خادم هذا الطلسم أن تنير طريقنا بهذه الدماء، وتفي بعهد الرُّفقاء، أقسِمُ عليكم يا كشكليموس ويا قيدرائيل ويا طاحول يا خُدَّام الأحرف المكتوبة والطلاسم المعهودة، انقلوا هذا المكان، إلى مثيلِهِ في عالم الجان، الوحَا الوحَا، العَجَل العَجَل، السَّاعة السَّاعة.
أخَذَ (زياد) يردد مع (حمزة) ما يقول، إلى أن بدأت الدماء في كفِّه تضيءُ بلونٍ أحمرٍ نارِيٍّ أخذ يزداد قوَّة أكثر فأكثر، وخُيِّل إليهِ أنه يسمَع صوتَ أشخاصٍ بالخارج، ولكنِ اتَّضَح أن هناكَ أصواتًا تصدُر في الغرفة من اللا مكان وأخَذَت تعلُوا وتعلُوا.
