سليمان ولد يعيش فى بيئة زراعية متاخمة للصحراء وللنهر كل أقرانه يذهبون للعمل فى الحقول والمزارع ،فى مقاومة دودة القطن أو عزقه وجنيه أوحصاد الخضروات والفواكه ،وهو له مواسمه الخاصة ،فى الشتاء يصطاد السمك من النهر ،وفى الربيع يجمع الشيح الاخضر ويصطاد الأرانب وفى الخريف ينحت التماثيل من الملح الصخرى ،وفى الصيف يصطاد الثعابين.
