نگاهی است انتقادی به مفهوم مهدویت و وجود امام زمان در مذهب تشیع و بیان تفاوتهای آن با موعودِ اهل سنت. نویسنده اعتقاد به وجود مهدی را عمود خیمة خرافتِ شیعه میداند و با اشاره به آیات قرآن كریم و روایات پیامبر اكرم و ائمه شیعه، جعلی بودن وجود وی را ثابت می كند. او بحث را با تردید در فرضیه امام زمانِ شیعه و تفاوت بزرگ آن با موعود به معنی حقیقی آغاز میكند. در ادامه، شباهتهای متعدد امام زمان را با موعود یهودیان یادآور شده و چگونی ورود باور به وجود مهدی را از اعتقادات یهودیت به تشیع شرح میدهد. وی با ارائه دلایل پیاپی، بر اعتقاد امامیه در باره امام زمان خط بطلان میكشد و در فصل پایانی به این موضوع میپردازد كه چرا روحانیت امامیه این دروغ خطرناك را ساخته و چنین امری را بر شیعیان تحمیل كردهاند.
