هذا الكتاب هو كراسة محمد بن أحمد بن عبد الواسع البعقيلي المشهورة عند الطلبة السوسيين بمناقب البعقيلي والمؤلف يعيش من أوائل القرن الحادي عشر إلى العشرين منه، وهى صغيرة مختصرة التراجم جدًا، ولا تعتني بالوفيات إلا قليلًا وهى أول كتاب ألف في نوعه بسوس فيما عرفنا. وإن كان مؤلفها معاصر للمؤلفين: التامانارتي والرسموكي صاحب الوفيات والكراسة لا تزال مخطوطة وفي خزانة القاضي سيد الصديق الفاسي منها نسخة وأما في سوس فنسخها متعددة في الخزانة السعودية وغيرها والكتاب صغير وكثيرًا ما ينقل عنه الأفراني صاحب الصفوة.
