في هذا الديوان قصائد منبرية يخطها وينشدها الشاعر السوداني " محمد المهدي المجذوب" في ثمانينيات القرن المنصرم يلامس من خلالها مرحلة عاشتها بلاده؛ تحمل رؤى شاعر مخضرم عاش التجربة وجسدها شعرا يقرأ. يقول في قصيدة بعنوان ]قنابل في أم درمان[ جاءت على أثر غارة طليانية. "إليك يا رب إله الورى / دعاءنا المظلوم لا يسأمُ ، العالم الواحد ألوانه / شتى أهذا الغيث لا يعلمُ ، شعبي في أقياده راسف / سواك في أقداره يحكمُ ، أين له إلاكَ من ناصرٍ / لا يُشهر الحرب ولا يَسْلمُ (...)". وعن تجربته الشعرية يقول "محمد المهدي المجذوب". ( ... لقد أصبحت بعد الشيب .. محباً لشعر المواسم وأعيادها الدينية وزهوها على المنابر محتفياً به لنيته الصادقة، وما في ذلك من بركة وتأثير، والزمني هذا بإيراد أكثر شعري من هذا الضرب في هذا الديوان اعترافاً لما أملته علي النشأة واقتداء بخطباء المنابر الفصحاء، وبراً بوطني ومشايخي، وتسجيلاً لموقفي أيام الشباب في ذلك الزمن الجاهر القاهر... هذا، ويضم الديوان ما يزيد عن مائة قصيدة في الشعر العربي الموزون تتناول مختلف أوجه الحياة الإجتماعية والسياسية والثقافية للسودان منذ العام 1944 وحتى العام 1959 م ويغلب عليها طابع الثورة ضد الإنكليز والحنين إلى الوطن الأم ...
