المحنة .. موضع سر الله في تهيئة العبد لكل خير ، مغزى حكمته عز وجل في إنارة طريقنا بأقوال السالفين .. المحنة .. عصا الأزلية التي تسوق الكلام من جيل إلى جيل ومن زمن إلى زمن ، المفتاح الذي يُخرج لنا من صندوق المواهب الخير في كل أوان ومكان .. وكلما ازدادت ثخونةً وغلظةً كان الكلام أكثر قبولًا وتألقًا وأشد سيلانًا وتدفقًا .. المؤمن الصادق الذي لا يخشى وقوع المحنة ، ولا يرهب حدوث البلايا ، ولا يهاب رياح النوازل ، بل يُرحب بها ، فهي واقعة على كل حال ، وخير له أن يستغلها وينتفع بشدة أيامها وعنفوان حوادثها ليُخرج للناس ما عسى أن يوقظهم من غفلتهم ويأخذ بأيديهم نحو السعادة والنجاح .. ولا يخفى ما مرت به بلادنا العربية من محن زلزلت مراقدنا ، وأثارت جذوة دفئنا ، فنبهتنا من سُبات أزعجنا كابوسه وأثقل رؤوسنا بخار خموله وانحلاله .. هذا الكتاب إجابة لنفير هذه المحن ، التي اكتوينا بنارها وضاق صدرنا بدخان لهيبها ، فأخرج ألم النفس مقالاته التي ربت على المائة وثلاثين مقال ، ونحت وجع القلب خواطره التي زادت على المائتين خاطرة ، فخرج هذا الصارم الذي يرجو صانعوه أن يُحمد عمله في المحن والشدائد ، وأن يجعل الله لهم به لسان صدقٍ في الآخرين .. راجين من الله تعالى أن تقَع هذه الكلمات في قلب كلِّ مسلم ما زال صالحًا لكلِّ خير ليُبصر بقلبه ما أبصرته أقلامهم ، ولتكون نِبْراسًا له يهتدي بضيائه في ظلمات المحنة الحالكة ، ومُتنفسًا له ومُستراحًا من عناء ما يُلاقيه من شدتها ، ومُسكنًا ودواءً لما يُعانيه من آلام تبعاتها .. فشكرًا لمحنة أوقدت مصابيح دروبنا الغارقة في دياجير الجهالة.
