الاسم الأعظم هو الذي يشمل بوحدته جميع الأسماء وفيه ستون قولاً وقد روي فيه الكثير وصنفت فيه كتب عديدة، آثر سعيد أبو معاش أن يجمع أشهر ما قيل في هذا الباب معتمداً الأحاديث المتواترة والمنقولة عن الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم. وبعد أن يبين حقيقة الاسم الأعظم ويدلل على ذلك بقصص من روايات "العامة" وأخرى من روايات "الخاصة" ينتقل إلى البحث في قصص الاسم الأعظم في القرآن وتفسيراتها مبيناً ما عند الأئمة من هذا الاسم.
كما يبحث في ما له من التصريفات الخفية واللطائف التسع في الاسم الأعظم. ثم ينتقل إلى تفسير أسمائه تعالى ومعنى خلق الأسماء بالحروف، وحروف الاسم الأعظم وآثارها مبيناً معاني أبجد والحروق الهجائية، كما يقدم فصلاً عن الجفر الجامع والنور اللامع ثم يبين علاقة الحروف المقطعة أوائل السور بالاسم الأعظم.
