الكتاب من ترجمة بكر صدقي. ثمة إحدى عشرة قصة في كتاب غايي بور اليوغلو البسيط والصغير، تكمل كل منهما الأخرى، وتحكي مجتمعة عن اللحظات السعيدة، والتعيسة، لإمرأة عازبة، وتتحدث عن مشاهرعا وأفكارها المخبوءة جداً. بإختصار يسرد الكتاب حياة إمرأة عازبة، تضم سلسلة هذه القصص في ثناياها تفاصيل مذهلة تشترك مع إستدلالات غريبة وغامضة، وأفكار ساذجة تؤدي بنا إلى أن نجد أنفسنا كإمرأة. بكل تأكيد لا ترغب في قبول هذا، فقد دون الكتاب إخفاقات العلاقات مع الزوج، والحبيب، والوالدين، والزملاء، والأصدقاء، وحتى مع مديرة المنزل أو السمكري، بطريقة بالغة الأمانة. لعبة "إتعاس الذات" هذه تعكس مزاجاً فكهاً حقيقياً، حتى وإن لم تتعمد الكاتبة هذه الطريقة، تتضح هذه اللعبة للقارئ على أنها سخرية من الذات، والكتاب لا يستخف بالمواقف الصعبة والحرجة، ولا يقلل من شأنها، بل يبرزها أمامنا بطريقة مريحة وسلسة، لكنا كنا قد أسسنا لتعاطفنا، مسبقاً، بسبب هذا الموقف، وقبلناه على نحو أكثر راحة. شأن معظم النساء، بطلة الكتاب ساذجة، لكنها قوية، تشغل بتوافه الأمور، لكنها إيجابية، غير فاعلة لكنها مضحكة، وبإمكانها أيضاً أن تجعل من نفسها تسخر من أي شيء. في "كلها قصص" ثمة رؤية حدية عميقة، هي لــ"إمرأة"، وهذا أكثر من مجرد حساسية لوجهة نظر أنوثية معيارية، ويرى المرء ذلك بكل وضوح، فالكتاب لا يقول "شأن إمرأة لي" (شأن إمرأة مني)، لكنه يخلق وجهة نظر نسائية عبر كل شيء، العلاقة بين إمرأة ورجال، علاقة مع إنسانن ومع نفسها، بالطبع، هي علاقة بالحياة... علاقة بالحياة.
