كتاب يحوي قصيدتين مطولتين جمعتا بين الشعر والفكر، الأولى «تطلعات في المنفى»، تحدث فيها الشاعر عن منفى القصيدة العربية، حيث همّشها القائمون على الأدب المعاصر في فترة الثمانينيات وما بعدها،
بشكل متقصد ليحل محلها مقطوعة النثر، واستعرض الشاعر في سياقها صوراً من جماليات القصيدة العربية، والإبداع الذي خلدته مضامينها والتاريخ الذي جسدته في قصص الحب والحرب الكرم والنخوة والرؤى النقدية في تلك الأيام، وعلاقة العربي بالأطلال وفرسه. والقصيدة رشحت في الدورة الأولى لمسابقة «أمير الشعراء» التي يقيمها مركز أبو ظبي للتراث، لكنها لم تتجاوز المرحلة الثانية، على رغم ثناء النقاد عليها. والقصيدة الثانية «حوار مع طرفة بن العبد»، تشبه في هدفها القصيدة السابقة، حاور فيها الشاعرُ الشاعرَ طرفة بن العبد من خلال الإشارة إلى أبيات من معلقته وأحداث من حياته، ونقد فيها مقطوعة النثر نقداً مقارناً اعتمد الاستدلال من عيون الشعر العربي، وفضح فيها انحياز القائمين على الأدب لمقطوعة النثر على حساب القصيدة العربية لإماتتها وبالتالي إماتة الذوق الأدبي العام بفرض هذا النموذج الجديد عليه من خلال وسائل النشر، واعتمد على نتائج بحوث علم النفس في علاقة الإنسان باللغة، وأثرها في صياغة شخصيته وإدارة تفاعله مع الحياة، وبالتالي دورها في صياغة شخصية الأمة، وبشر بثورة شعرية مقبلة تعيد للقصيدة العربية مكانتها وتأثيرها في وعي الجماهير.
