وهل كان وطني يوما إلا عنواني ونفحةٌ من كياني؟ يتربع على عرش قلبي وفي عيوني لوحة من تينه وزيتونه وعناقيد تتدلى من داليةٍ خضراء تورق في آخر الصيفِ مؤذنة بتوهج الحبّ للأرض التي خُلقنا من طينها وشربنا من نبعها الرقراق ماءً عذباً كما الشهد المصفّى. من ذاق منه فقد عرف ومن عرف اغترفَ حبًّا لا يشوبه عَكَر. حين يتلألأ الشوق في عيوننا كحبات الندى مع تباشير الصّباح ، والشّمس تعانق خدّ فلاح الذي يفترش ظلّ شجرة الزيتون لتملأ قلبه حبًّا ، ودلوه زيتاً يوقد من شجرة مباركة في أرضٍ مباركة، نورٌ على نور تضيء به صفحات الحب في دفتر الأيّام بحجم الجبال الراسيات الضاربات في عمق الأرض قوة وثباتا.
