رواية مسرور ومقرور تأليف أحمد بهجت، كان مشهد موت الكون رائعا ورهيبا معا .. بدأ اليوم بتحطيم القوانين الحاكمة للكون, وانفراط عقد النظام المحكم الذي سير المجرات أحقابا وأزمنة. حين بدأ الكون يموت, صدر الأمر إلى الموتى المكلفين أن يقوموا من الموت .. لم يكد الأمر يصدر لهم حتى أطاعوا جميعا ونهضوا من الموت, كانت عظامهم قد تحللت وفنيت وصارت ترابا من تراب الأرض, ودخلت أجسادهم ملايين التحولات و التبدلات, فمن لحم ودم وعظام إلى سيقان وردة إلى إبريق خزفي إلى فحم في باطن الأرض إلى ماسة مشتعلة إلى تراب.كان كل شيء ينتهي إلى التراب , رغم هذا كله , لم يكد الأمر الإلهي يصدر إلى الموتي بالقيام من الموت حتى قاموا .. عادوا من العدم إلى الوجود كما قاموا قبل من العدم. كانت الأرض تمتلىء بالخارجين من القبور, فوجا بعد فوج, وأمة بعد أمة, وشعبا بعد شعب, و اختلط خروج الموتى بنهاية العالم الذي عرفوه.
فكرة الرواية في المقارنة بين المؤمن العابد الزاهد والكافر الغني الظالم لم تكن جديدة لكن الجديد هو وصف أحمد بهجت لمشاهد القيامة وكأنه عايشها
