رواية إجتماعية تدور أحداثها حول نهي التي وقعت في الحب لأول مرة، ليلقي بها القدر في شباك رجل ماكر، يرغب في الثأر من والدها الذي تسبب في إنتحار عمته المحببة إلي قلبه، وتشويه سمعتها بعد وفاتها، فتعهد بالإنتقام منه شر إنتقام بخداع إبنته الوحيدة التي بفضلها عاد النور إلي حياته، وكانت هي وحدها من أطفأته إلي الأبد في أحداث مثيرة، تتشابك وتتعقد بوقوعه في حب إيمان صديقتها التي أغرمت بحازم دون قصد منها، حين طلب منها المساعدة في أمر إبنة أخته التي نشأت نشأة غير سوية لتقصير أخته وزوجها الذي لا يجيد سوي لغة واحدة ألا وهي لغة المال، لتخفق زوجته في تربية إبنتهما، فيحمل الهم خالها حازم فيستعين بإيمان التي تساعده لإعادة الأمان والإستقرار لحياة إبنة أخته، التي أخذت درسا تستحقه من إيمان، إيمان التي لم تكن تعلم بأنها هي الآخري واقعة في براثن إمرأة ساحرة، تكيد لها بمختلف الأعمال، فتأخذها الحياة في مكان ليس بإمكانها الإفلات منه بسهولة، فلولا رحمة الله لما عادت للحياة بعدما إقتربت من الموت، وشهدت أسوأ الكوابيس في وعيها التام، لدرجة جعلتها تري الموت هو سبيل النجاة الوحيد، بعد ما تخلي عنها حازم، يكمل حياته بعيدا عنها حين طلبت منه الإبتعاد .
