طردت مرة، وقيل لي تفضل مرتين
مر الزمان.. كل ليلة سنة
لم أغف فيها غير ساعة. وغفوة الغريب لا تطول
وفي السهاد يرحل الخيال يعرف الكثير
زماننا بخيل!
أواه! نحن لا نزيد غير أن نظل
نريد ما يقيم ساقنا لنشهد الحياة
ونعبر البحور خلف حلمنا الضئيل
ونعرف الغربة في الصبا، والخوف أن نجوع
في الصباح
لكن زماننا بخيل.
