في إحدى الأزمنة الغابرة حيث يسود قانون الغاب، وتفككت الدول إلى مدن ودويلات، وبلغت التقنية منتهاها، انطلق "أسامة" يقفز من بناية إلى أخرى مطاردا "اللوح الجليدي"، فالأخير قد جمد البحيرة و جعل المدينة بلا ماء. يحاول أن يوقف "أسامة" فيطلق عليه شعاع التجمد، ولكن "أسامة" يطير في الهواء بحذائه النفاث متفاديا ما يطلقه عليه ومقتربا منه بشدة. يتوقف "اللوح الجليدي" عند حافة المبنى، فلا مهرب الآن و لا مخرج، يلتفت لينظر إلى "أسامة" الذي يتلقفه وهو يطير في الهواء ويهوي به من أعلى البناية ليسقطا من هذا العلو الشاهق. ينهض "أسامة" مترنحا ويقترب من "اللوح الجليدي" الذي استلقى أرضا بلا حراك فينزع من يده ما يشبه الساعة ولكن أكبر حجما. ويضع الأصفاد في يديه و يقول:
ـ انتهى إجرامك أيها المخادع وستعود المدينة إلى سابق عهدها في أمان وسلام، سنعيد المياه إلى مجاريها وستلقى جزاؤك العادل.
