زیرنظر كتاب علامہ ابن جوزی كی مشہورتصنیف منہاج القاصدین مختصراحیاء علوم الدین كی تلخیص ہے جسكوعلامہ ابن قدامہ مقدسی رحمہ اللہ نے سرانجام دیا ہے .علامہ ابن جوزی رحمہ اللہ نے امام غزالی كی مشہور كتاب احیاء علوم الدین كا مطالعہ كركے اسمیں سے ضعیف وباطل روایات اور متصوفانہ باتوں كو حذف كردیا اور كتاب كو چار اہم ابواب میں تقسیم كیا-1 عبادات 2- عادات- 3- مہلكات 4- منجیات- اور ہر ایك باب كے تحت كئی اہم فصول مرتب كیا, ان فصول میں اصلاح معاشرہ, اعمال قلوب ,تربیت اخلاق , اور تصوف وفلسفہ وغیرہ سے متعلق نہایت ہی سیر حاصل كلام كیا, لیكن وسیع وعریض ابواب وفصول كی وجہ سے كتاب كا مطالعہ قارئین كیلئے مشكل تھی اسلئے علامہ ابن قدامہ مقدسی رحمہ اللہ نے غیرضروری فقی مسائل كوحذف كركے علماء وعوام كیلئے اسكا مطالعہ آسان كردیا اوراسكا نام ركھا مختصرمنہاج القاصدین . چونكہ كتاب اصلاح معاشرہ اور تزكیہ نفس كے باب میں بہت اہم تھی اسلئے مشہور عالم دین محمد سلیمان كیلانی حفظہ اللہ نے اردو داں طبقہ كی آسانی كیلئے اسے اردو قالب میں ڈھالا ہے . نہایت ہی مفید كتا ب ہے ضرور استفادہ حاصل كریں.
