تُثيرُ هذه الرواية أسئلةً منها: ما الذي يجعلُ العيشَ محتملاً؟ وما الذي يجعلُ العيش ممتعاً؟ وما هي متعة العمر؟ يتبيّنُ قارئ هذه الرواية إجاباتٍ ملموسة عن هذه الأسئلة، وأعني بـ “ملموسة” نطق بنية الرواية بهذه الإجابات، من دون تدخّل من الراوي… يتبين القارئ هذه الرؤية/ الإجابات، في فضاء المتعة الروائية، التي توفّرها بنية روائية يشكّلها نسيج روائي تتنوع خيوطه بين سرد مشوق يمضي خيطياً، ويتكسر مسترجعاً مستبقاً، ووصف دال، وحوار ذاتي وثنائي رشيق يلائم الموقف والشخصية، وإشارات كاشفة يرسلها الراوي في حالات تقتضيها، ما يشكل بنية روائية تمتع وهي تروي سيرة سعي الإنسان إلى متعة العمر.
