الجنس إحدى القضايا الشائكة فى المجتمع وإحدى المحرمات المجتمعية, الجميع يتمنى أن يعرف عنه الكثير, ويستمتعون بالحديث عنه, ومعرفة الجديد من أوضاعه وخباياه, وننفق الكثير من الأموال للحصول على أقصى متعة ممكنة, ويتسابق الجميع فى طرح خبرته الشخصية التى غالبا ما تؤدي إلى توريط العديد من الأشخاص في مشكلات لا قبل لهم بحلها, ومع ذلك نخجل من الحديث فيها.
وما جعلنى أهتم بمناقشة هذا الموضوع العديد من الأسباب: أولها ما لمسته من خلال عملي كطبيب نفسي مدى معاناة مرضاي من مشكلات جنسية مستترة خلف مشكلات اجتماعية أو شخصية.
وثانى الأسباب: حينما طلبت مني إحدى المشتغلات بالعمل العام إعطاء تدريب لموظفيها عن الثقافة الجنسية, لأنهم يتعرضون للعديد من المشكلات الجنسية التى لايتمكنون من التعامل معها, وكم لمست ضآلة المعلومات الجنسية عند هؤلاء الأخصائيين رغم أنهم فى العقد الثالث والرابع من العمر.
وثالثها: عندما طلبت إحدى الهيئات أن نجهز كتيبا عن مشكلات المراهقين, وخاصة التفكير والتعامل مع الجنس الآخر.
والكتاب يقع في فصول مترابطة ومرتبة حسب الترتيب الإلهي لمراحل الجنس الطبيعي مع اهتمام خاص ببعض الموضوعات, مثل ليلة الدخلة, وما يشغل بال الشباب من أسئلة, والكتاب يركز بصورة مباشرة على كيفية تحقيق أقصى إشباع من الممارسة الجنسية فالجنس حياة حية وممتعة.
